At the European Customer Experience World (www.ecew.co.uk), I stayed at Sofitel Hotel at London’s Heathrow Airport about 30 minutes outside of London. The 200 meter walk from the airport terminal to the registration desk was filled with quiet (amazing for an airport), hints of the cool architecture inside, multiple display monitors showing what else to expect, and soft music. Registration was a breeze. Even with a last minute room change, everything went smoothly.
When I got into my room, the television was on. Since it was a last-minute room change, I was delighted to see a menu of hotel options on the television with my name on it! How cool is that? Nice touch, Sofitel!
