Summary

Objective
Create a premium, emotionally intelligent, and highly personalized support experience for cancer patients and their caregivers that could scale through technology and community-based care. SeekWell aims to redefine how patients navigate the cancer journey—from diagnosis through survivorship or end-of-life—with less confusion, more confidence, and the right kind of support at every step.

Pivotal Insight
The right metric (treatment regiments completed) defines success.

The patient and caregiver experience is often not medical—it’s emotional, logistical, and deeply personal. Most people don’t need more information; they need the right questions, better timing, and a trusted human to walk with them. Aligning patient, caregiver, and care team needs around one emotionally-centered experience makes outcomes better for everyone.

Essential Value
Design the emotional arc of the cancer journey first—then map services and support to each phase. Empower patients and caregivers to build their “tribe,” align communication, and reclaim agency through story-driven decision making and just-in-time mindset coaching.

Valued Outcome
Within weeks, SeekWell emerged from its early-stage strategy sprint with a complete founder’s brief—a vision and execution deck that aligned the team across strategy, operations, communications, and services. Key deliverables included concise core messaging, a competitive set analysis comparing 15 key players, a five-profile persona map, initial pricing model guidance, and a future-story framework tying each element back to the organization’s ultimate goal. These assets became a practical chief-of-staff guide for onboarding the first team members—saving months of ramp-up time and avoiding misalignment later. The work gave SeekWell the language, clarity, and confidence to move forward with purpose and speed.

Approach

The client supplied starter research, a small focus group

From the beginning, the client and consultant agreed this would be an AI-powered engagement—leveraging technology not as a shortcut, but as an amplifier of insight, speed, and alignment. The focus was not only to define SeekWell’s strategy, but to prototype the core experience with the same attention to detail, empathy, and operational rigor that would ultimately serve patients and caregivers.

Storyminers brought a unique blend of facilitation, structured storytelling, and service design to the collaboration. A focus group that included both a cancer survivor and her caregiver provided first-hand insight into the emotional and logistical realities of the cancer journey. Using structured Storymining techniques, we uncovered turning points, unmet needs, and the roles people naturally take on—or avoid—under stress. Those insights became the building blocks for SeekWell’s experience model and tribe-building framework.

Alongside the human input, we harnessed AI to accelerate competitive research, compress the timeline for concept development, and refine ideas across multiple iterations. Key deliverables included a founder’s brief (vision and execution deck), a competitive landscape analysis comparing 15 players, five fully developed personas, a pricing model with tiered services, and a future-story scenario to inspire and align future collaborators.

Because we were able to cycle through multiple rounds of refinement in the time traditional methods would allow for only one, the result was a more confident, detailed, and emotionally resonant foundation. That depth and clarity became essential as SeekWell positioned itself to scale with both heart and operational precision.
